Translation and Interpreting Services Company

INTERPRETATION Translation and Interpreting Services Company was established by Maria Stelmasiewicz in 1997.

Since 1997 the Company has translated thousands of documents of various length and subject matter – from a few hundred pages of EU grants applications and related public procurement procedures, through  ISO 9001 documentation, audits by charted accountants, balance sheets and other financial documentation and art exhibition catalogues, to software provision contracts for the biggest IT and insurance companies in Poland.Certified translations of documents, such as school certificates, university diplomas, birth certificates, car documents, etc, are the everyday practice of the Company.

 The Company also provided consecutive interpreting services to many businesses and institutions, such as FinSkog International, Atena IT Services, Polish Credit Unions, folk high schools movement, University of Gdańsk, City Council of Gdańsk, Marshall’s Office of the Pomeranian Region, individuals taking driving licence tests.

 

MARIA STELMASIEWICZ, the founder of INTERPRETATION Translation and Interpreting Services Company was awarded Master’s degree in English language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Gdańsk in 1979.

In 1981 she completed post-graduate studies in methodology of teaching foreign languages, and in 2002 - in “European Integration. EU Assistance Funds and Corporate Management in Single European Market” at the faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk.

Also in 2002 she was sworn in as a sworn translator of English language in District Court in Gdańsk (No 637 and now – TP/4164/05). She has been an academic teacher of the University of Gdańsk since 1981.

During the period of 2003-2005 she ran translation classes for translators of English at English Unlimited Teachers’ Training College and its post-graduate studies.

 

ANIELA STELMASIEWICZ is a graduate of French philology, with translation specialisation, and ethnolinguistcis, with Japanese specialisation of the Neophilology Faculty of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She acquired practical language, translation and interpreting skills during her university scholarship studies in Tokyo and Geneva. She also has rich experience with specialized vocabulary in various industries (auto industry, construction industry).

 Since 2010 she has been running a course of Japanese at the University of Gdańsk.
